The study of Business and Economics provides an introduction to the fundamentals of business operations and economic issues. In developing their own business concept, students learn how decisions are made to allocate limited resources to individuals and communities in an economy.ÌýThey consider the reasons businesses exist and types of businesses, and identify how entrepreneurial characteristics contribute to the success of a business. ÌýStudents identify the rights and responsibilities of individuals and businesses in terms of products and services. They locate, select and organise data and information from sources.ÌýThey interpret information and data to identify economic and business issues, trends or effects.ÌýThey develop a response and identify potential costs and benefits.ÌýStudents use this economic and business knowledge to create their business enterprise.
